Radio network optimization

network and possible solutions

Scope of Work:

Operations and Maintenance of all Siemens UTRAN Network elements (i.e RNC & Node B) and ATM (HID - Transport) through preventive, corrective maintenance and proactive maintenance of all RNC nodes. •Having Years of experience and skills in handling Siemens NB_860, NB_880, NB_881, RS_880, RS_381+RRH, RSU_380 and RNC750 (e-RNC) under UMR6.5 version, and Network administration skills (OMC-UTRAN) of all Network Entities using Siemens Radio Commander (RC9.5 - UMR6.5) •Expertise in UTRAN Network which is the Radio Network providing all 3G services to end customers, maintaining the quality and availability of these services.
2) 3G Configuration Management Engineer ( Siemens 3G System) X 1
•Configuration management shall cover the end-to-end NSN network configuration.
 •It shall include the configuration of new network elements, re-configuration of existing network elements, software updates and support all integration requirements. •He should be familiar with RNC parameters and their modification. He should know also how to create/delete neighboring relations. •He should be familiar with the ATM Switch (HiD) Links configuration and should be familiar with Radio Commander Applications. •3G CM Engineer shall be responsible to perform all day-to-day configuration management activities of the network. •He will manage any change with respect to updates, new services, new equipments to ensure the availability and integrity of the network. •He will plan and develop the configuration management functionalities (covering the systems, processes, methods and procedures, staffing) which shall be properly defined, documented, and executed in the OMC. •Develop detailed M&P (methods and procedures) to perform configuration management operations in Wireless OMC.
3) 3G-FLM Engineer ( Siemens NodesBs) X 2
•Having good expertise of 3G Siemens NodeBs troubleshhoting. •Accurately identify and isolate faults within the shortest possible time, thereby minimising any downtime of network elements without exceeding the agreed SLA. •Follow established processes to ensure rapid turn around of faults and repairs. •Communicate effectively with the OMC. Corrective Maintenance of NodeBs. •Complete visual inspection of the equipment and connections •Regular examination of the optical and audible alarm system, control of alarm panels •Replacement of malfunctioning sub-assemblies. •Cleaning of filters, fans •Power maintenance and adjustment of power supplies •Checking and replacement of consumable items in the devices, if required •Periodic or on-demand tests and measurements •Synthesis of periodic inspections via reports in the agreed upon format. •
4) 3G Performance Management Engineer( Siemens 3G System) X 1
•Performance Management Engineer shall take care of all issues concerning the day-to-day performance of the network (3G Siemens System) •PM Engineer should be able to analyze and post-process the KPIs. •Should be able to know the nature of the fault from the data and be familiar with the different RNC level and nodeb level counters and their significance. •He should be familiar with the different radio protocols (RRC, RLC, MAC,) and should be familiar with SPOTS. •He shall perform the execution of regular traffic measurements at the Customer mobile network elements as well as the evaluation of the results. •Develop detailed M&P (methods and procedures) for all related performance management functionalities. •These MOPs shall be reviewed and approved by Manager operations and head of Network Quality of Service (NQS) of Customer •Develop and implement definition of network performance parameters (thresholds) related to a real time analysis. •Supervision of the predefined thresholds. •
5) 3G-Surveillance Engineer ( Siemens 3G System) X 1
•Survelliance of 3G Siemens Network elements (NodeBs, RNCs and Radio commander etc). •Have good knowledge how to monitors hardware and software alarms on the Radio Commander. •Can perform first level of troubleshooting and have understanding of the nature of fault. •Be able to work in shifts as per duty roster. •Analysis of the impact of an alarm or a failure on network resources and service, give a severity rating according to a predefined level matrix. •Problem diagnosis, resolution, follow-up and escalation to next level in case of support. •Record of all information related to a problem in a Trouble Ticket: e.g. diagnosis, follow-up and resolution. •
